Fruitvale Lions will be starting a new charity this year for grandparents that are raising their grandchildren.
Fruitvale Lions are looking forward to continually supporting a number of District fundraiser. Fruitvale Lions will deliver fall bouquets to the Rose Garden Home for Women on October 31, 2005.
Fruitvale Lions have started an agressive membership campain by mailing 6,000 flyers to two Oakland Area Codes.
Fruivale Lions have sent letters to over 100 businesses soliciting contributions for the Andrew Graham Scholarship Foundation. 100% of the funds raised will be given as an award toward tuition, books, and incidentals for three deserving students. Money is sent directly to the college the student will be attending. The awards ceremony is held annually in May.
